Change exactly what needs changing
Control means changing one thing without affecting everything else. The paint, the shot or the story can change tomorrow without starting over.
Automotive films · Digital twins
Not Reality Studios makes automotive films from vehicle digital twins built in Unreal Engine. We learn each car down to the details, so we can change exactly what needs changing without starting over.
Speed and g come from the film's simulated drive on real terrain. The other figures describe the twin and the edit.
Frames
One drive
A minimum-curvature line on a road laid out to engineering rules, over real terrain
A seven-degree-of-freedom car, solved 1,200 times a second
Speed, power, g, steering, body pose and path, every frame
What was built
One twin, deeply understood, can unfold into films, configurators, stills and sales tools, all telling the same truth about the car.
Computer-generated dramatization. Do not attempt. Always obey speed limits. Independent film. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG. Rally kit and roof rack are custom digital designs. The rally livery is a fictional design: TIM, Michelin, Bilstein, Bosch, Loctite, Epic Games, C6 Bank and the other brands shown on it did not sponsor or endorse this film. About
Automotive production demands product accuracy, consistency and creative control. We study the car down to its mechanics, then build a digital twin that behaves like it.
Control means changing one thing without affecting everything else. The paint, the shot or the story can change tomorrow without starting over.
The Cross Turismo's rear axle steers up to 2.8°, against the front wheels below about 50 km/h and with them above, like the real car. Screens, sound and suspension all read the same drive.
Once the car is a twin, the production can be one too. Road, forest, light, sound, driver and camera become systems. Change one, and everything that depends on it follows.
Experimenting with AI made us selective about where we use it. Language models work inside the production: profiling what each frame costs, indexing 31,000+ asset packages, checking every fix before every render. More goes to craft and refinement, less to uncertainty.
Services
Launch films, product films and cinematic B-roll, from one twin of your car, driver and location.
Your car, rebuilt to behave like the real one: working dashboards, lights, doors, paint, dirt and driving dynamics, written in C++. Designed for cinematic animation and runtime interaction.
Functional dashboard interfaces that show what the car is doing: speed, maps, drive modes and climate, in step with the drive.
The same twin renders stills, colours and trims, and can feed configurators and sales tools, so every output tells the same truth about the car.
Roads laid out on measured terrain to real road-design rules. Mud, dust, leaves, debris and tyre marks that react to how the car moves through the shot.
Unreal plugins, Python tools and LLM-assisted workflows for studios and in-house teams. We script every change, with a snapshot and a one-step restore.
Studio
Not Reality Studios is a São Paulo studio led by Caio Haar since 2022. Caio is a senior Unreal specialist in automotive product visualization and cinematic production. The studio makes automotive films and vehicle digital twins in Unreal Engine. Caio combines a passion for machinery and an understanding of vehicle mechanics with lighting, camera work and story. Caio is also a Creative Partner of Martini and OpenArt, two AI video platforms.
Brand work above was done with the companies named, not as Not Reality Studios projects. Vancouver Film School, 3D Animation and Visual Effects. Portuguese and English.
Designs the film, reviews every change and approves each one before the final render.
Claude drives Unreal through code: profiling what each frame costs, indexing the project's asset packages and checking every fix before every render.
